UDS features Shatta Wale’s “Ghana is a Village” comment in their End of trimester examination

Shatta wale infamous statement describing Ghana as “Village” on his reign album tour in Europe seems to have gained some recognition because it has found it ways into an End of trimester exams at the University for Development Studies (UDS).

He even went ahead to release a song titled “Ghana Be Village”, jabbing Ghanaian s for not agreeing with his statement.

Nonetheless the university one way or another thinks Shatta Wale’s statement could be proven right with valid reasons.

Faculty of Integrated Development Studies – Department of Environment and Resource Studies – in its end of first-trimester examination asked the students to corroborate Shatta Wale’s claim.

The question reads:

“Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., a Ghanaian producer and reggae-dancehall musician, popularly known as ‘Shatta Wale’, recently described Ghana as ‘a village’ during a performance in London. With reference to your knowledge about the development problems of villages, state five reasons why Shatta Wale described the whole of Ghana as a village,”
