“Most girls turned me down whenever i proposed to them because i had nothing” – J.Derobie

New Dancehall act Derrick Obuobi Junior, commonly known as J.Derobie is a new gem in the terrain singed to Mr Eazi’s Empawa100 music label.

The artiste who made it to  fame so fast with his single “poverty” revealed in an interview on Accra based radio station , Hitz FM, how difficult life is . In the interview, he recounted on how unlucky he was in life and for that matter most girls used to turn him down whenever he proposes.

“Most of the times I am not that lucky. I tell girls I like them but it doesn’t work. I go for a job interview and I am not called but for Mr Eazi’s empawa100 thing I applied for, it picked, and I am so happy,”

However, he was lucky enough to make the cut for Mr Eazi’s Empawa100 label when he applied. Derobie’s hit single ” Poverty ” has been doing well in the music scene and reviews from entertainment critics towards the single looks very positive.

Big names in the entertainment industry like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Popcaan, Samini, alongside many have endorsed J. Derobie’s single since it was first aired.
