Chairman of the National Democratic Congress [NDC] for the Ayawaso Constituency, Bismarck Aborbi Aryeetey, has confirmed reports, Actor John Dumelo together with five other members of the National democratic Congress have picked nomination forms to contest parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to facilitate him compete in the party.
“Currently, four people have picked nomination forms. Our former DCE who contested in 2016, Delali Kwasi Brempong, and we have John Acquah and John Dumelo. I am told one gentleman called Ewenam has also picked a form,” he said.
The fee for nominations forms and filing fees is GH¢1,000 and GH¢10,000 in that order, with a 50 per cent discount on the filing fees for women and persons with disability with deadline being on Friday, December 21, 2018, while vetting will be done on Saturday, December 22, 2018.
The primaries are anticipated to come off on Friday, 28 December, 2018.
John Dumelo who has for the past years been a stalwart of the National Democratic Congress, and has openly shown his intentions on campaign platforms and on social media.
